Ms. Lewis is a licensed real estate Broker in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Additionally, she is a licensed Property Manager and the Founder & Principal of Property Locators, LLC, currently doing business as Ivy Real Estate, a real estate acquisition firm and property management company. In addition to holding her real estate and property management licenses, Ms. Lewis is an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Sellers Representative Specialist (SRS), certified Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA), and Military Relocation Professional (MRP). She has systems and programs in place that allow her to meet the needs of her clients efficiently.
Ms. Lewis is a former 3-term elected Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner in Washington, DC from 2013-2018. Increasing affordable housing is a top priority for her. As a Commissioner, Ms. Lewis brokered millions of dollars in deals that included quality Affordable Dwelling Units (ADU) for local residents during her tenure.
Additionally, Ms. Lewis is the former Secretary and current Vice-President of the Board of Directors of Mi Casa, Inc., a notable affordable housing developer in the Washington, DC area. She was also selected by former Washington, DC Mayor Vincent Gray to serve as a member of the Ward 5 Industrial Land Transformation Task Force study group to provide directives to the Mayor and the Office of Planning for the best usage of industrial land in Ward 5.
Ms. Lewis has a unique understanding of acquiring and selling property, and her expertise has been widely noticed by both the local news media and the government in Washington, DC. Ms. Lewis has been featured in the Washington Express Paper, included on the DC Department of Community Development homepage as a “Featured Homebuyer,” and within the annual report of the DC Housing Finance Agency.
Before becoming involved in real estate, Ms. Lewis served as a Business Marketing Specialist for a non-profit health institute, where her efforts in finding contracts generated revenues of $85,000,000 or more annually. She is skilled in writing and reviewing work orders, evaluating bids, staffing and project management, and multi-year forecasting. Ms. Lewis studied Anthropology and Criminal Justice at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, and has a certificate in Public Administration from Prince George’s Community College.
