Celebrating Our Co-Founder’s Retirement & 30+ Years of Accomplishing Our Mission

This month Mi Casa celebrated the retirement of our Co-founder and Former Executive Director, Fernando Lemos and the accomplishment of 30+ years of Mi Casa’s mission to Provide, facilitate, and advocate for inclusive, affordable housing for underserved communities in order to promote equitable, thriving and diverse neighborhoods in the greater DC, Maryland and Virginia (DMV) area.

We are so grateful for all of the community members, staff, partners, and funders who took part in this unforgettable experience. 

The event was a tremendous success, bringing together over 100 community members who are all passionate about realizing the goal of high-quality, affordable housing for everyone. We reflected on incredible moments in Mi Casa’s journey and heard inspiring stories of Fernando’s dedication over the past 30 years to this work.
