We create affordable, direct homeownership opportunities
Homeownership offers a stable housing environment and a pathway to economic opportunity. Yet, many underserved populations face barriers to homeownership. Combined with DC’s limited affordable housing opportunities, there is a clear need to regenerate equitable homeownership opportunities to low-income communities.
We build new and renovate existing vacant buildings into energy efficient, affordable homes with a focus on areas where low-income communities of color are experiencing a high threat of displacement, such as areas East of the River. We then coordinate with home-ownership counseling agencies and work with buyers to help them access financing to purchase these homes.
